Account opening with our network of banks and custodians

Opening an account with a bank or custodian involves several steps that may vary depending on the institution's policies and regulations in their country or jurisdiction.

Here are some general steps where our team will work with you:

Research and selection of the bank or custodian, before opening an account, you need to identify a bank or custodian that suits your needs. Factors to consider include the institution's reputation, fees, services offered, and location.

Gathering the required documentation, the bank or custodian will require specific documentation to open an account. This typically includes KYC (Know your customer) , source of funds, risk profile, proof of identification (passport), proof of address, such as a utility bill or bank statement, and your tax identification number.

It's important to note that each bank or custodian may have specific requirements or processes for opening an account.

Discretionary asset management

A discretionary mandate is a type of investment management agreement where the investment manager has the discretion to make investment decisions on behalf of the client without prior approval. The investment manager is given a range of guidelines, but ultimately has the authority to make trades and investment decisions based on their professional judgment. This type of mandate allows for more flexible and proactive management of a client's investment portfolio.

Investment advice

An advisory mandate is a type of agreement between a client and a financial advisor, where the advisor provides advice and recommendations to the client regarding investment decisions. The client retains ultimate control over their investments and makes the final decision on whether to follow the advisor's advice. The advisor's role is to provide expert guidance and to help the client make informed choices.

Access to best in class investments

Access to best in class investments typically refers to the ability for investors to invest in a diverse range of high-quality investment products that have a strong track record of performance and are managed by experienced investment professionals. These investments may include stocks, bonds, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and other securities. By having access to a wide range of investment options, investors can build diversified portfolios tailored to their risk tolerance and investment objectives.

Access to the best hedge funds

Hedge funds are a type of alternative investment vehicle that pools capital from investors to invest in a diverse range of assets with the goal of generating high returns. Unlike traditional investments such as stocks and bonds, hedge funds can invest in a wide range of assets, including derivatives, currencies, commodities, and real estate.

Many hedge funds have high minimum investment requirements and are only available to accredited investors.

Hedge funds are known for their use of various investment strategies, including long/short equity, global macro, event-driven, and quantitative strategies. Hedge fund managers often use leverage, or borrowed money, to amplify returns, but this can also increase risk.

Hedge funds are not regulated in the same way as traditional investments, and they are subject to fewer restrictions on investment strategies and disclosure requirements.

Buying and selling of securities

Trading of securities refers to the buying and selling of financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, options, futures, and other securities.

There are several ways to trade securities, including through a brokerage firm, online trading platforms, or directly through a stock exchange. Investors can buy or sell securities on an exchange or over-the-counter (OTC) market, which is a decentralized market where securities are traded directly between two parties.

Custody and settlement services

A bank or a custodian is a financial institution or entity that holds and safeguards securities and other assets on behalf of clients. The main role of a custodian is to ensure the safekeeping of assets and to perform administrative tasks, such as recordkeeping and the settlement of trades.
